Morihiro Saito - Aikiken Video
This is a rare video of Morihiro Saito Sensei titled 'Aikiken'. Saito Sensei demonstrates basic sword training as it was taught at the Iwama Aikido Dojo by O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. Starting off with basic Kokyo Ho, Saito Sensei goes onto demonstrate sword excercise, sword vs sword techniques and sword vs hand technics. All Aikido practionars should find this a valuable reference.
Morihiro Saito Sensei trained with foundar Morihei Ueshiba at the Iwama Dojo after World War II. It is said that during these years, O'Sensei created Aikido from the old AikiJutsu techniques. After O'Sensei's death, Saito Sensei became the head of Iwama dojo and care taker of the Aikishrine in Iwama. Saito Sensei's Aikido is very insightful to anyone whether they train in the Iwama Ryu Aikido or any other variation.
